To configure Community Builder, you go to:

Joomla->Components->Community Builder->Configuration

Here you will see a panel with a number of tabs. Note that you must click the "Save" icon to save any changes you make here.

Here's a quick guide to where various settings are:

  • Email: The General tab controls user access to email;
  • Name format: The General tab controls the format of user name displays;
  • Login requirements: The General tab controls what information the user must supply to log in;
  • Registration: The Registration tab settings let you control all aspects of the registration process, including shutting it off completely. One exception is the moderation settings, which are on the moderation tab;
  • User Profile:The User Profile tab controls what the user sees on his/her user profile page.
